Hi Dave.

Check out my tutorial on adding watermarks to your images.  The exact same add-on to Lightroom allows you to add inner and outer borders and more.  Its cheap, it's easy, and a bit of a PIA to install.. but once installed it's super easy to use.  I use it daily.

I've done quite a bit of searching for both watermarking and adding borders/frames, and I ended up with the same program in the end (Mogrify). The installation is indeed a little silly, but if you read the instructions before you begin (something that most experienced computer users no longer do...) you should be fine.
The program can be tested for free, but you're limited to processing 10 images at a time. For a donation you can unlock all the features (up to you how much you wish to donate).
