Good morning!  We just finished putting up a custom exchange rate display engine on our "Home" and "What's New" pages, right under our new Weather Information panels.  There are eight currencies pegged to the Central European Bank and the rates are updated every ten minutes.  If you don't see your favorite currency please ask.  We'll get it up there.

A personal aside:   Coming home the other day the wife runs up all excited telling me something wonderful has happened.  I asked "did we win a million dollars in the lottery?"  She replied "better!" I knew I was in for something different now, there are few things I consider better than winning a million dollars.  Like winning two million dollars.  It turns out a dove built a nest on our balcony and deposited two eggs.  She thinks she's going to be a mother.  I was wondering why the parrots were taking on a new annoying language, we had balcony guests!  I handed her a camera and asked her to take pictures of the eggs and to try and photograph the coming hatching.  We'll see what she comes up with and I'll share them with you here.

A traditional style Lisou house in the Lisou Village.  These aren't for sure, they're fully functioning homes lived in by the Lisou and in some cases rented out to tourists so they can experience the culture first hand.  Wood walls, steel doors, portholes for windows.

At 1900 new content goes live.  Our Feature Photograph "Turn 180 Degrees and Look!", our Feature Destination "The Road To Pai, And A Surprise", A review on our new monitor "Samsung BX2450 Widescreen LEC-baclit LCD Monitor", a look at Rod C.'s new monitors, and my personal blog about our current exchange rates titled "Sub-30 and Dropping!"   And let's not forget about the "Photography News For The Week" which has some interesting retro pieces and a cool new EVF for those of you using your DSLR to produce HD movies.  Check out our new content and give us some feedback on what new material you'd like to see.

I'm very pleased to invite you to read Rod C.'s new Thailand Photo Story submission titled Northern NSW Australia, Collarenebri.  A nice narrative and great images. This is Rod C.'s first submission in the Thailand Photo Stories section and I encourage you to give it a read and leave Rod C. a comment or two of feedback.  Also, remember Rod C. was the first person in nearly two years who submitted a photograph I selected to use as a Feature Photograph?

Another Mae Hong Son landscape.  You can see here how they 'terrance' the soft side cliffs to handle rain runoff and prevent slides blocking the road.

You might have noticed I added a weather and exchange rate widget to both the What's New and Homepage.  What do you think?  Both pages okay, or only one?

This is one of my favorite images captured outside Pai.  The motorsai in contrast to the rice fields help make a fun landscape.
