The last few days have been extremely busy.  We're still unpacking boxes and arranging furniture and putting in 14+ hours a day trying to normalize our lives.  The good news is I found and have set up my workstation!  I can't begin to describe the difference of using a quality desktop workstation compared to a quality ultraportable.  It's huge.

I hope to be on schedule to renew regular artlcles and our weekly column by July 9th or 16th.  Hopefully within a few days I'll start posting more regular updates on this What's New page and soon after the occasional article.  I have so many things I want to write about.  My experience moving heads the list after US Customs totally trashed my shipment ruining almost half my furniture and more.

I can't wait to be back full time, but there's stil a fair amount of work to take care of before then.

The movers are due to arrive any minute.  I never thought I'd want to hug my couch!   I'll be set up in just a few weeks.. More to come soon as I get set up.

I was fooling around with the Fuji x100 a few nights ago.  A dark room, fully Auto, and some very decent flash exposure and detail.  I didn't even bother to sharpen these..

WooHoo!   The first eaglet has flown!  153 million of you have been watching the live video cams for 10 weeks.  Read the article here.   I’ve arrived at my new home and will be set up soon.

I've not been very active on my blog this last week and for that I apologize.  I've been very busy coming back from Hawaii with my son, picking up my parrot from quarantine, loading my rent-a-truck, and preparing to head out across America for Illinois..  My son and I flew into Portland on the 2nd and the quarantine center was nice enough to cargo ship my parrot Caesar to Portland on the same day so we could all be reunited as we came into Portland.

The next new days were spent making our way back down to Medford with a two day layover in Roseburg.   You see, I bought this bag of sugar free gummi bears and ate half the package.  I didn't realize they used Sorbitol which acts like a laxative.. I know this is borderline "TMI" (too much information) but suffice it to say I needed to stick around Roseburg for nearly two days!

Meanwhile my son was learning to drive the Cobra which is no easy feat.  A 512rwhp car with a dual friction racing clutch isn't that easy to master as your first stick shift experience.  Yet, he learned fast and is quite proficient as of this time.

We picked up our rental truck and spent a full day carefully loading it.  All the serious weight went forward and low.  Things are packed in pretty tight and this morning we finally headed out from Medford across America bound for Illinois.

This is our rig with the Cobra sitting on a trailer behind it.

The same shot but at F5.6 reveals a slightly sharper image but without the pleasing bokeh.  I continue to really enjoy the Fuji x100.
