Above is a scan of a print my grandfather took of my grandmother’s 1963 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, quite a car in those days. Yup, it’s suspended in the air by the stream of water coming from the fire hydrant underneath it.

From our location all we could see was a ball of color and treetops, no rainbows, no explanation for the color ball, and other than taking a picture of just the sky or the sky and treetops there was no obvious composition available.

What do you see when you look up through the trees in fall? You’ll notice that in nature there are very few if any straight lines. Looking through the trees I saw a naturally occurring painting. Nature’s art.
